RIGHTEOUSNESS OUR IDENTITY IN CHRIST!

INTRO:
The Four Dynamic Events of Redemption are:
1) God’s Creation.
2) Satan’s Deception
3) Christ’s Substitution.
4) Our Restoration.
When you confessed the Lordship of Jesus Christ you not only received Eternal Life, but your Spiritual Nature was made entirely New by the working of God's Mighty Power!

Isa. 54:14 “In righteousness you shall be established; You shall be far from oppression, for you shall not fear; And from terror, for it shall not come near you.”

Jn. 1:12 "But as many as Received Him, to them He gave the Power to become children of God, to those who believe in His name:

2 Cor. 5:17-18 "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a New Creation; old things have passed away; behold ALL things have become New.
18 Now ALL things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation,”

Titus 3:5 NLT "He saved us, Not because of the righteous things we had done, but Because of His Mercy. He washed away our sins, giving us a New Birth and New Life through the Holy Spirit."

Jn. 14:16-17 ESV "And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever,"
17 even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and Will Be In You."

Jn. 14:23 ESV "Jesus answered him, “If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and Make Our Home With Him.”

Jn. 14:12-14 ESV “Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I am going to the Father.
13 Whatever you Ask In My Name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
14 If You Ask Me Anything In My Name, I Will Do It.

Jn. 15:16 ESV "You did not choose me, but I Chose You and Appointed You that you should Go and Bear Fruit and that your Fruit Should Remain, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you."

# We are "In Christ" and He is "In Us"

1 Cor. 6:19-20 "Or do you not know that Your Body is the Temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?
20 For You were Bought at a price; for this reason glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's."

The Sacrifice of Jesus Christ Changes EVERYTHING!!!

Rom. 5:17,18 "For if by one man's offense death reigned by one; Much More they which receive Abundance of Grace and of the Gift of Righteousness Will Reign in life by One, Jesus Christ;
18 Therefore, as through one man's offense judgment came to all men, resulting in condemnation, even so through One Man's Righteous Act the FREE GIFT came to all men, resulting in justification of life.“

Col. 2:13-14 "And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having Forgiven you All trespasses,
14 having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross."

VERY IMPORTANT! There is a constant battle between the spiritual kingdom of darkness and the Kingdom of Light!

✔️ The Key to Walking in Dominion in the spirit realm is:
Understanding Who You Are In Christ and Who He Is In You!

When Believers See Themselves as The Righteousness of God In Christ, Justified in God’s presence through Faith in the Shed Blood of Jesus Christ, it Gives them the Confidence to Receive from God, and Walk in the Authority of The Believer!

✔️ Our Focus in the Body of Christ is:
The Great Commission (Mk. 16:15; Mt. 28:19). "Go Into All The World And PREACH THE GOSPEL, AND MAKE DISCIPLES OF ALL NATIONS!!!"

✔️ In Eph. 5:27 God said He would receive to Himself a Glorious Church!

-Church: Gr. ekklēsia - The Called Out Ones! A People who are Called out by God!

Dan. 11:32b "...the people who know their God shall be Mighty, and carry out great exploits."

Eph. 5:14-16 Tells Us to Do 3 Things:

1. Rise up!
2. Receive the Light!
3. Redeem the Time because the days are evil!

I. WHO ARE WE? God Calls Us Redeemed!

A. Col. 1:13-14; 20,21 "He Has Delivered us from the power of darkness and TRANSPORTED us into the kingdom of the Son of His love,
14 in whom We Have Redemption through His blood, the Forgiveness of sins."

Col. 1:13-1; 20,21 AMP “[The Father] Has Delivered and Drawn Us To Himself Out of the Control and the Dominion of darkness and has transferred us into the kingdom of the Son Of His love,
14 In Whom We Have Our REDEMPTION through His blood, [which means] the FORGIVENESS of our sins.“

#1. Redemption: A Releasing, Deliverance, or Liberation Obtained by the payment of a ransom.(STRONG)
#2. Forgiveness: Release from bondage or imprisonment, forgiveness or pardon, of sins (letting them go as if they had never been committed), remission of the penalty.
#3. 1 Peter 1:18,19 “ KNOWING: that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your useless conduct received by tradition from your fathers,
19. but with the Precious Blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.”

B. Rom. 5:1,2 AMP “Therefore, SINCE we are Justified (acquitted, Declared, and Given a Right Standing with God) through Faith, let us [grasp the fact that we] Have [the Peace of Reconciliation to Hold and to Enjoy] peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
v.2 Through Him also We Have [our] Access (entrance, introduction) by faith into this grace (state of God's favor) in which we [Firmly and Safely] Stand. And let us rejoice {and} exult in our hope of experiencing {and} enjoying the glory of God.”

2 Cor. 5:21 NET "God made The One who did not know sin to be sin for us, so that in him We Would Become The Righteousness of God."

C. Titus 3:5 CEV “He saved us because of His mercy, and NOT because of Any Good Things that We have done. God washed us by the power of the Holy Spirit. He gave us New Birth and a Fresh Beginning.”

In other words, Christ became what we were so we could become as he is. The very righteous nature of God has been imparted to us through the new birth!

D. Rom. 5:17 NET "For if, by the transgression of the one man, death reigned through the one, How Much More will Those Who Receive the Abundance Of Grace and of the Gift of Righteousness Reign in Life through the one, Jesus Christ!"

II. GOD HAS MADE A WAY FOR US TO STAND IN HIS PRESENCE W/O ANY SENSE OF GUILT, SHAME, CONDEMNATION, OR UNWORTHINESS BECAUSE OF THE BLOOD OF JESUS!

Heb. 10:19,20 "Therefore, brethren, Having Boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus,"
V. 22 "Let Us Draw Near with a true heart in Full Assurance of Faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water."

Heb. 10:22 TPT “we come closer to God and approach him with an open heart, fully convinced by faith that Nothing will keep us at a distance from him.
For our hearts have been sprinkled with blood to Remove Impurity and we have been Freed from an Accusing Conscience and now we are Clean, Unstained, and Presentable to God inside and out!”

A. ✔️ ALL that was lost in the fall of Adam was Gloriously Redeemed through the Sacrifice of Jesus!

Rom. 5:1 "Therefore being (having been) Justified by Faith, We Have Peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:"

JUSTIFIED Def. To be made right; To be Accounted as Having Never sinned; To be Rendered Innocent!

B. Because of Righteousness- Our Identity in Christ, We Have Access Into the Presence of God! -Rom. 5:2

1. Heb. 9:1-8 Under the Old covenant only the high Priest went into the holy of holies once a year.

The high priest was the only one that had entrance into the manifested presence of God.

2. If others were to intrude into this place they would fall dead.

3. According to Exod. 28:35-43

The high priest had to sanctify (cleanse himself according to Jewish law) himself before he entered the holy place, or he would fall dead.

C. ✔️ Under the New Covenant Jesus Has Paid the Final Penalty for sin and Gained Entrance For Us Into the very Holiest of God's Presence. -Heb. 9:11-14

1. Because of this Righteousness God Provided, I don't have to stand Outside the Door.

Heb. 4:16 GNT " Let us have confidence, then, and approach God's throne, where there is grace. There we will receive mercy and find grace to help us just when we need it."

2. We Can Now Stand in the Presence of God W/O the haunting sin conscienceness that kept the O.T. people out!

3. God Is Not Trying To Keep Us Out, He's trying to Bring Us In!

4. SIN Consciousness has given us a wrong picture of God and a wrong picture of the New Creation.

It has made us see God as an unapproachable Being who is always on the alert to discover sin in us and condemn us.

D. Heb. 9:11-14 It's by The Precious Blood of Jesus that we are able to Serve God w/o a guilty conscience.

E. This Righteousness That God Established Is By Faith, Not Earned By Good Works!

1. Why does this Righteousness come by Faith?
Rom. 4:16 BBE "For this reason it is of Faith, so that it may be Through Grace; and so that the word of God may be Certain (sure)To All The People;"

2. Rom. 3:26 "To declare, I say, at this time His Righteousness: that he might be Just, and the Justifier of him which Believes in Jesus."

GOD HIMSELF IS OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS!

2 Cor. 5:21 “For he hath made him (Jesus) to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that We Might Be Made the Righteousness of God in Him.”

III. WHAT HAS GOD RESTORED THROUGH JESUS!”
Rom. 5:8-10,17. (We have been restored to Life in God!)

A. According to Eph. 2:13,14 Our Peace is Restored.

B. Through the love of God and the shed blood of Jesus, Rejection is Overcome - Done Away With. (Eph. 1:4-6 He has Chosen Us For Himself..)

1. Rom. 5:8 “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

C. ✔️ In Christ, The power of Shame is Broken! Heb. 2:11 “He is Not ashamed to call them brothers!”)

1. Heb. 2:11 TLB "We who have been made Holy by Jesus, now We Have the same Father He has.
That is why Jesus is Not Ashamed to call Us His Brothers."

D. God is not afraid to become the Righteousness of the man who has faith in Jesus because He Planned that Redemption.

1. It is faith in His own Son and what that Son has Achieved for man.
God is not ashamed to become the Righteousness of the New Creation.

2. ✔️ If there is anything that ought to free us and lift us above the old master, Sin Consciousness, it is this fact.

In 1Cor. 1:30, Jesus is declared to be our Righteousness.

IV. WE HAVE BEEN REDEEMED! Gal. 3:13.14

A. Poverty and Sickness. Deut. 28:15-68

B. Spiritual death. Gen. 2:17; Gen 3:22-24 man disobeyed God, was driven from the garden, and became the slave of sin and death!

1. Fallen man has No Legal ground to approach God because he is more than a transgressor, a sinner, He has the nature of his father the devil.

a. Jn. 8:44 "you are of your father the devil."

B. This is why man cannot be saved by his conduct-good works.

His spiritual nature Must Be Changed through the New Birth!

C. Covenant man who has accepted Jesus Christ loses the sense of sin and in its place receives a sense of his oneness and fellowship with the Father.

1. Col. 1:13-14 "Who Delivered Us Out of the authority of darkness and Translated Us Into the kingdom of the Son of his love; in whom We Have Our Redemption, the remission of our sins."

a. # Notice in this Scripture that He "Delivered Us Out of the authority of darkness"- that is Satan's dominion-and At The Same Time "Translated Us Into the kingdom of the Son of His love."

2. There are 4 facts here:
-1st, We are delivered out of Satan's dominion.
- 2nd, We are born into the kingdom of the Son of His love.
- The 3rd is, "In whom We Have Our Redemption." That is a Redemption from Satan's dominion.
Satan has no legal right to reign over the man who has accepted Christ as his Saviour.
4th, The Child of God Has Been Delivered Out of Satan's dominion, Satan's family, Satan's authority, And He has been Born into the family of God, the kingdom of the Son of His love.

V. THROUGH JESUS 4 IMPORTANT THINGS ARE RESTORED TO MAN!

A. Fellowship is Restored.
1 Cor. 1:9 “...truly our fellowship is with the Father and His Son.“

B. Our Confidence is Restored.

Eph. 3:12 "In Him We Have Boldness and Access With CONFIDENCE by the Faith of him."

C. Peace is Restored.
Rom. 5:1 "Being therefore Declared Righteous by Faith, we have Peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ."

D. Through God's Righteousness we have an Expectation of a Glorious Future!
(Phil. 3:20,21; 1 Thes. 4:13-17)

VI. God's Righteousness Makes Us More Than Conquerers!

A. 2 Cor. 5:21 "For he has made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him."

1. E.W. Kenyon said, "This Righteousness is not an experience, although it gives birth to many marvelous experiences.

2. It Is The Nature of the Father Imparted To Us!
a. ✔️ It is His nature Gaining the Ascendency in Us Until We Know that we are what God says we are, Masters, and Conquerors!"]

3. The Sense of Unworthiness however:
- Destroys Faith.
- Robs Us of our Peace of mind.
- Makes Ineffectual the Most Earnest, (Sincere) and Zealous Prayer Life.

B. Righteousness Conscienceness Makes us Free To Approach God!

1. Heb.4:16 "Let Us therefore Come Boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and Find Grace To Help In Time of Need."

C. Righteousness Conscienceness Creates Boldness!

1. 1 Jn. 5:14-15 RSV "And this is the Boldness We Have In Him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.
15 And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, We Know that we have obtained the requests made of him."

2. James 5:16 AMP ...”The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working].“

3. When I ACT LIKE God’s Word is TRUE, THE POWER OF THE PROMISE IS RELEASED IN ME!
a. Faith without corresponding Action in Lifeless and ineffective! James 1:5-7; 2:14-18

4. Col. 1:13-14 AMP
"The Father has Delivered and Drawn Us to Himself Out of the Control and the Dominion of darkness and has transferred us into the kingdom of the Son of His love,
14 In Whom we have our redemption through His blood, [which means] the forgiveness of our sins."

a. Notice in this Scripture that He "Delivered Us Out of the authority of darkness"- that is Satan's dominion-and at the same time "Translated Us into the kingdom of the Son of His Love."

b. That man has been delivered out of Satan's dominion, Satan's family, Satan's authority. He has been born into the family of God, The Kingdom of the Son of His love.

D. "Righteousness is A "Gift Given" in the New Creation (New Birth).

1. It Restores Our Standing Before God.

2. It takes away the old Sin-Consciousness that has crippled us and robbed us of all our Spiritual Ambition, Confidence and Assurance in His presence. (2 Cor. 5:17)

3. It Restores to man a standing before the Father on the same ground that Jesus enjoyed in His earth walk.

a. Remember the Fearlessness of Jesus in the presence of the Father, His Fearlessness before Satan.

VII. THROUGH RIGHTEOUSNESS, WE DOMINATE THE POWERS OF DARKNESS!!!

A. 2 Cor. 5:21. “For he has made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.”

1. When Jesus went to the Cross by the determined counsel of God, became sin, Took Our Place as a Substitute. Then He conquered the Enemy and made Righteousness Available to man!

B. ✔️ A redemption that did not make man Righteous would be a failure.

1. Until man is Righteous and Knows It, Satan reigns over him, sin and disease are his masters.

2. Sin Consciousness can be found as the reason for practically every spiritual failure.

a. It destroys faith. It destroys the initiative in the heart. It gives to man an inferiority complex.

b. Mankind is afraid of God. He is afraid of himself.

He always searching to find someone that can pray the prayer of faith for him.

c. He has no sense of his own legal right to stand in the Father's presence without condemnation.

2. ✔️ But The Instant He Knows that he is the Righteousness of God in Christ and Knows what that Righteousness means: Satan Is Defeated IN THEIR LIFE!

C. God has PROVIDED a Redemption that Perfectly Restores Mans Fellowship with the Father.

1. Now there is no sense of guilt or sin.

-No memory of past wrong-doing.

-The Believer Stands Complete in Christ. He has partaken of the Fullness of God in Christ.

a. Jn. 1:16 "For of his fullness have we all received, and grace upon grace."

D. Matt. 28:18,19 "And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.
19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations,"

1. Mk 16:17-18 "And these signs will follow those who believe: In My Name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues;
18 they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

2. He gave us a legal right to the use of His Name, and finally in the Great Commission He defines the Ability of that Name. He said, "In my name, You WIll Cast Out demons."

a. When He declared that, He Revealed to us the secret that we were to be Masters of Satan.

Because, if we can cast out one demon, We Can Cast Out All demons.

b. If we have dominion over Satan, then we have dominion over all His works.

3. Do you see the Greatness of Liberty Righteousness Gives Us to stand in the Father's Presence without the sense of guilt or condemnation, and gives us the Ability to stand in the presence of Satan Without the sense of inferiority!

D. What does it mean to be in Christ?

1. Rom. 8:38,39 We are in a relationship of Inseparable Love!

2. We Cannot Be Separated From It!

3. Satan Is Under Our Feet, And We Demonstrate the Victory!
